Giveaway Rules

Promoter

Monthly giveaways on VG Live are promoted by VirtualGhost, not by Twitch, Discord, YouTube, Amazon, Uber, or any other brand mentioned as a prize example.

The prize

When the VirtualGhost Twitch channel hits a published subscriber goal during a calendar month, that goal’s prize unlocks. 50 paid subscribers unlocks the $25 drop. Higher goals (for example a $100 gift card or a console) unlock only if that higher number is hit. If the month ends below a goal, that prize does not unlock.

Prizes are gift-style payouts or physical items we agree with the winner. A $25 or $100 drop is typically a common platform we can send (for example Amazon or Uber Eats). It is not a Twitch subscription, not cash as of right, and not exchangeable except at our discretion if a platform or item cannot be used in the winner’s country.

Who can enter

18 or over. Each sub-goal prize is its own giveaway with its own ID and entry pool. Entering one does not enter any other. You must sign in with Discord and have Twitch or YouTube linked on that Discord. You must not be a confirmed alt. Employees or contractors running VG Live, and their household, cannot win.

The giveaway is open worldwide except where prize promotions of this kind are illegal. You are responsible for local law. Void where prohibited.

How to enter (free)

No purchase necessary. Signing in and linking Twitch or YouTube is free. A Twitch sub is not required to have an account or to redeem a code, but the monthly prize only draws if the channel hits the sub goal.

Entries come from joining an open giveaway on VG Live, including valid stream codes for that giveaway ID while they are active. A code only adds entries to the giveaway it was created for. Each code can be redeemed once per person in its time window. Codes have no cash value.

Winner

If a goal is hit, that giveaway opens on its own ID. A winner for that prize is drawn 14 days after that month ends, at random from eligible entries for that giveaway only, weighted by entry count. We contact the winner through the Discord account on VG Live. Discord names of winners are shown on the Giveaways page and may also be said on stream.

If we cannot reasonably reach the winner within 14 days of the draw, or they are ineligible, we may redraw. Prize delivery is arranged after we confirm identity and a way to send the prize. Winners are responsible for any tax in their country.

Fair play

We may disqualify bots, alts, code abuse, or any entry we reasonably believe is fraudulent. Sub counts are read from Twitch’s API, or set by VirtualGhost for the month if we override them. Hitting a goal auto-starts that prize’s giveaway. Our decision on eligibility and the draw is final.
